Morning Glory Farm and Gardens is located in the northernmost tip of the driftless region of western Wisconsin. The farm includes woodlands, pastures, gardens, campsites, and small-scale livestock. Farmers Mark Plunkett and Faye Jones find joy in sharing harvests of the land.”

In early May our woods are filled with abundant ramps—wild onions (Allium tricoccum) native to North America. To capture the essence of fresh ramps throughout the year, Faye crafted Ramp Salt, a flavorful seasoning made with dried ramp leaves and sea salt. Once you taste it we think you will enjoy it as much as we do! Only the top third of the ramp leaf is harvested from the plants to ensure its continued growth. Ramp salt can be used on vegetables, soups, eggs, popcorn, steaks, burgers, other meats and proteins. It is delicious on anything!

Our passion for cultivating and savoring garlic shows in our carefully nurtured garlic varieties. Baldur’s Best, is a hard neck variety that delights with its mild heat and rich garlic flavor, featuring generously sized cloves. Clare’s Lemon, a rocambole variety, offers very dense garlic flavor with a zesty twist

Fresh ramps and ramp salt are sold Mill City Farmers Market in early May.
